Marc Agnifilo, renowned for defending Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs against various federal charges, will now represent Luigi Mangione. Mangione stands accused of assassinating the UnitedHealthcare CEO on December 4. Despite multiple attempts, Combs has failed to secure bail on four occasions.
On the day of the crime, Brian Thompson was fatally shot by a masked assailant outside the New York Hilton Midtown. The attacker swiftly fled into Central Park. Following an intensive search, authorities arrested 26-year-old Mangione in Pennsylvania. They discovered a 3D-printed firearm and suppressor, along with a manifesto criticizing the American healthcare system, on him.

As Mangione prepares to face charges including federal murder and stalking, his defense is bolstered by Agnifilo’s expertise. Agnifilo has a formidable track record, having defended Combs in over 100 cases involving charges of trafficking, racketeering, and violence. His efforts include four bond appeals for Combs, three of which were denied.
Mangione has also enlisted former Manhattan Chief Assistant District Attorney Karen Friedman, who is Agnifilo’s spouse, adding significant depth to his legal defence.
