Judge Arun Subramanian recommended that Sean “Diddy” Combs serve the rest of his four-year and two-month prison sentence in a federal facility near the New York metropolitan area, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.
Diddy, who was sentenced on October 3 for two violations of the Mann Act, is currently being held in a Brooklyn federal jail.
The judge highlighted the importance of Combs’ proximity to his family and the availability of rehabilitation programs. “The facility should provide access to any substance abuse program, including the Bureau of Prisons’ Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP),” Subramanian stated. This comes after Combs submitted a request on October 6 to serve his sentence at FCI Fort Dix, a low-security prison in New Jersey. His goal is to address his drug issues while also maintaining family visits.
