Dera Ismail Khan: A security man was martyred and four others were injured on Tuesday in a roadside explosion in Dera Ismail Khan town of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to officials, the incident occurred on Kulachi road of the city where a bomb exploded near a convoy of security forces.
A soldier, identified as Subedar Khalid, was martyred in the explosion while four others were wounded.
Rescue teams shifted the injured and martyred soldier to Combine Military Hospital (CMH) of Dera Ismail Khan.
Security forces arrived at the spot and cordoned off the area. The troops, following the blast, started a search operation in the area to track down miscreants.
It was second such attack on security troops in two days. Five security personnel were injured in the same area in a roadside explosion on Monday.
