Dak Prescott, the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, faced unforeseen complications following his allegations of extortion.
Initially reported by the Dallas Morning News, Prescott complained about attempted extortion. However, the narrative took a turn when the same woman he accused became his accuser, alleging sexual assault in a highly publicized civil court case. Despite his celebrity status, Prescott is subject to the same legal processes as anyone else.
The incident reportedly occurred on February 2, 2017, in the parking lot of XTC Cabaret, a Dallas strip club. The report surfaced a day after Prescott initiated legal action against the accuser and her legal team.
Currently under investigation in Prosper, Texas, this case intertwines accusations of sexual assault with claims of extortion against Prescott. Details remain scarce as the investigation is still in its early stages. Nonetheless, TMZ reported that the woman seeks $100 million in her lawsuit against Prescott.
The accuser’s attorney, Yoel Zehaie, told Pro Football Talk they plan to file a counterclaim against Prescott’s lawsuit. Zehaie highlighted inconsistencies in Prescott’s account, noting initial denials of knowing the woman followed by claims of consensual interaction. The Dallas Cowboys have yet to comment, opting to await further developments in the ongoing investigation.
