The death of Cristina Perez Galcenco has left the international fashion industry in mourning. The 21-year-old model passed away at her home in Spain, according to local media reports.

Her sudden death came as a shock, especially as she had recently appeared on major international runways and showed no signs of illness.

Spanish outlet El Mundo reported that Perez Galcenco was found dead at her residence in the province of Malaga on Tuesday, February 3. Authorities said there were no signs of violence at the scene. Initial findings suggest she died of natural causes. Officials have not indicated any suspicious circumstances surrounding her passing.

Cristina Perez Galcenco had quickly built an international modelling career. She had recently walked in Paris Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week, and other major shows. She entered the fashion world at just 14 years old, beginning her career at the Campoamor Fashion Show. Industry professionals described her as talented, dedicated, and professional beyond her years.

Perez Galcenco was the daughter of former Spanish footballer Nacho Perez and Tatiana Galcenco. Despite her public career, she largely kept her personal life private. Friends and colleagues said she balanced her rising fame with humility and kindness, earning respect both on and off the runway.

Following the news of her death, tributes flooded social media. Renowned Spanish hairdresser Manuel Mon, who worked closely with her, shared an emotional message on Instagram. He remembered her not only for her talent, but also for her warmth, professionalism, and humanity, saying her energy would remain unforgettable within the fashion community.

Funeral services for Cristina Perez Galcenco will take place in her hometown of Lugones, Asturias. The Puente Nora Funeral Home has scheduled the proceedings for Friday, February 6. The services will conclude on Saturday, February 7, giving family, friends, and colleagues time to pay their final respects.

Cristina Perez Galcenco’s passing has renewed conversations about the pressures and fragility of life, even for those at the peak of early success. As the fashion world continues to honour her memory, many remember her as a young woman whose career and life ended far too soon.
