Cristiano Ronaldo’s watch may have envious watch collectors.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s unique Caviar Flying Tourbillon “Tsavorites” is Jacob & Co.’s latest perk. The bespoke watch’s name comes from its nearly all-green jewels.
Ronaldo moved to Saudi Arabia last month to play for Al Nassr, and the watch’s bright colour was a tribute. Tsavorites are cheaper than emeralds but 200 times rarer, so the watchmaker used them to get their green colour.
The case, bezel, face, and crown of the 47 mm 18k white gold watch are set with 388 baguette-cut tsavorites. This may seem excessive, but it gives the watch an eye-catching, all-green look. The watch’s strap, the only non-stoned part, is green alligator leather.
The caliber JCAA43 movement that drives the watch features bridges designed to complement the gem setting. The hand-wound caliber at six o’clock powers the flying tourbillon for hours, minutes, and seconds. It has 216 components and a power reserve of 42 hours.
Green wristbands are unavailable. The Caviar Flying Tourbillon “Tsavorite,” valued at $780,000 by Hypebeast, is reserved for football’s all-time leading goal scorer.
Jacob & Co. has Ronaldo-themed watches for fans.
The company launched the rose gold Flight of CR7 and stainless-steel Heart of CR7 watches late last year. Each watch has 99 pieces, one with diamonds and one without, and costs $34,988 to $181,331.
