Cristiano Ronaldo achieved a monumental milestone by scoring his 900th career goal, solidifying his position as the top scorer in professional football history.
Despite not being listed for this year’s Ballon d’Or, Ronaldo continued to showcase his exceptional skill. He marked this historic achievement during Portugal’s 2-1 victory over Croatia in Thursday’s UEFA Nations League opener. This goal came shortly after Ronaldo edged closer to the landmark with a spectacular free-kick for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
In the 34th minute at Estadio da Luz, Ronaldo converted a cross from Nuno Mendes, visibly moved as he celebrated this significant career moment. This goal, his 131st for Portugal, added to his extensive tally, half of which he scored during his tenure at Real Madrid. The rest were distributed during his time at Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, and Al-Nassr.
