Lieutenant General Navid Mukhtar, Corps Commander Karachi, visited the Lyari district, a notorious area for crime in the city.
During this inspection tour, he was accompanied by Major General Bilal Akbar, Director General of the Sindh Rangers. The visit aimed to assess the situation in Lyari, which is known for its high crime rates.
A spokesperson for the paramilitary force reported that Lieutenant General Mukhtar’s visit was primarily to meet with Rangers personnel stationed in the most challenging parts of Lyari, often referred to as a hub for gang activities. His presence bolstered the morale of the forces operating in these high-risk areas.

During the visit, Rangers officials briefed the Corps Commander on the various tactical approaches and strategies they are implementing to combat the rampant violent crime in the densely populated metropolis.
The visit comes as the Rangers are actively involved in operations against criminal elements in Lyari. The statement also noted a recent incident in which the Rangers eliminated three members of a Lyari gang, including a notable figure, Maab Baloch.
