Commonwealth has addressed a leaked report about Pakistan’s 2024 general elections. The statement released on the official website of COG clarifies the Commonwealth Observer Group’s (COG) process and confirms the report’s upcoming release.

As per the initial information, there is sufficient evidence to support the claims of election irregularities raised by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf

The statement also noted that a version of the COG report is circulating online. They declined to comment on the leak, following Commonwealth policy. The report has already been shared with Pakistan’s government and Election Commission. The full report will be public later in September 2025, alongside other COG reports. The Commonwealth stressed its commitment to fair and transparent election observation, free from interference.

The leak has sparked debate, with PTI calling the 2024 elections a “mega polls robbery.” They claim the report highlights rigging and bias against their party and leader, Imran Khan. The Commonwealth’s statement aims to maintain trust in its process while addressing concerns about the leaked document.

The Commonwealth’s election reports influence trust in democratic processes. The 2024 Pakistan election controversy, with allegations of fraud, affects the country’s political stability. The upcoming report could shape public views and policy, making the Commonwealth’s transparency vital for fairness.

The Commonwealth’s response to the leaked 2024 Pakistan election report shows its focus on impartiality. As the full report nears release, it could clarify election concerns.
