COAS highlighted the operation’s unified response, backed by the Pakistani public, as a pivotal moment in military history, reflecting national pride in the armed forces’ resilience.
Operation Bunyaan al Marsoos Overview
Launched on May 10, 2025, as part of Marka-e-Haq, Operation Bunyaan al Marsoos responded to Indian airstrikes on May 6–7 that killed civilians, including women, children, and the elderly. DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry announced the operation’s completion, targeting 26 Indian military facilities, including airbases and BrahMos storage sites, while Pakistani drones hovered over cities like New Delhi. The operation showcased Pakistan’s tri-services synergy, avoiding civilian casualties, as confirmed by Chaudhry.

Munir highlighted that “no hostile design can erode the determination of the Armed Forces,” crediting public support as a force multiplier. The operation, named after a Quranic verse symbolising unity, struck a blow against Indian aggression, with Chaudhry noting its precision and restraint. The visit to CMH reinforces Pakistan’s commitment to its defenders, aligning with the nation’s resolve post a U.S.-mediated ceasefire on May 10, which eased tensions but left ongoing diplomatic challenges.
