Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif called a top level security meeting and reviewed the overall law and order situation in the wake of the dastardly Lahore terror attack

At least 65 people mostly children and women were killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up at Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park in Lahore on Sunday afternoon.

According to DG ISPR Asim Bajwa, Director Generals of ISI and Military Intelligence attended the meeting.

Having evaluated initial information, the army chief directed concerned commanders and intelligence agencies to commence operation as soon as possible to find linkages and perpetrators of Lahore suicide attack,” the COAS said.

“We must bring the killers of our innocent brothers, sisters and children to justice and will never allow these savage inhumans to overrun our life and liberty,” he added.
