Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur safely returned to the KP CM House after a seven-hour unaccounted absence during a crackdown on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders.
PTI leaders had expressed concern over Gandapur’s disappearance. PTI MNA Shahid Khattak later updated on his X account that Gandapur had returned safely. Sources confirmed the reactivation of Gandapur’s mobile phone, and he has since reconvened his security team.
Local news channels reported that he was meeting with active mobile jammers, which disrupted communication. Initially, without his security team, Gandapur has now regrouped with his team and departed from the meeting site.
After the prolonged meeting in Islamabad, his brother, Faisal Amin, he confirmed his safe arrival at the Chief Minister’s House in Peshawar.
In related news, Islamabad police arrested PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan outside the National Assembly, following the arrests of PTI MNA Sher Afzal and leader Shoaib Shaheen in the capital.
