Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar on Wednesday took suo moto notice of assaulting passengers by an FIA personnel at the Islamabad airport.
The Chief Justice has directed the interior secretary and DG FIA to submit a report on the incident within three working days.
According to the FIA report on the incident, Haseena Begum, along with her two daughters, was on her way to Norway last week when she complained to an FIA official about the lack of toilet paper in the restrooms.
When the officer rudely refused to help her, Haseena chastised her and slapped the official. The passengers were confronted by FIA official Nausheeba who retaliated by assaulting Haseena and her daughter.
Footage of the assault showing the FIA official slapping the passengers as bystanders looked on made the rounds on social media.
The FIA had suspended junior constable Ghazala for reportedly assaulting passengers at the Islamabad airport.
