Chief Justice Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali on Tuesday formed a five-member larger bench to hear case regarding ban on hunting of houbara bustard on Wednesday.
The five-member bench headed by Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and comprising Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rehman, Justice Umar Ata Bandial and Justice Qazi Faez Isa will hear the review petition filed by the Punjab government and some other individuals.
It is pertinent to mention here that the three-member bench headed by former Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice (retd) Jawwad S. Khawaja had banned hunting of Houbara Bustard. The Punjab Government and other individuals filed review appeals against ban on Houbara bustard.
During previous hearing, the apex court clubbed all applications and referred the matter to CJP for formation of larger bench. (APP)
