Despite the panic, authorities confirmed that no reports of human casualties or property damage have been received so far. Local officials said the situation remains normal and urged residents to remain calm.
Chaman and nearby areas lie in a seismically active zone, where minor earthquakes are relatively common. Experts say shallow, low-intensity tremors often cause fear but rarely cause serious damage.
Authorities advised citizens to follow basic safety guidelines during seismic activity and rely only on official sources for updates.
