On October 5, 2024, communities worldwide will celebrate World Teachers’ Day, honouring teachers’ critical role in shaping societies.
PM Shehbaz expressed gratitude to teachers across Pakistan for their dedication to educating the youth and affirmed the government’s pledge to support educators, emphasizing, “The Government of Pakistan stands firm in its promise to our teachers.”
He also addressed the need for modern educational facilities, stating, “We aim to build an advanced education system that equips our students and teachers for success in a dynamic global landscape.”
Similarly, President Asif Ali Zardari called for a recommitment to empowering teachers. He encouraged, “Today, let’s renew our promise to empower teachers and ensure they receive the recognition and support they deserve.”
He acknowledged teachers’ challenges and the importance of providing them with the necessary tools, adding, “Capable teachers foster critical thinking, creativity, and ethics in students, shaping them into conscientious citizens.”
President Zardari underscored the need for “a thorough monitoring and performance evaluation system” and stressed the importance of improving teachers’ work conditions to help them perform effectively.
