A Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) officer restored a lost bag to its rightful owner at Islamabad International Airport on Wednesday.

The CAA spokesperson detailed that Khurshid Begum, en route from Islamabad to London via a British Airways flight early on 8th April 2024, inadvertently left her bag at the aviation counter. A conscientious civil aviation official discovered the bag and promptly handed it to the CAA’s Lost and Found Department.

The bag contained items of significant value, including 8 tolas of gold, Rs. 100,000 in cash, several ladies’ suits, and various other belongings, totalling an estimated value of Rs. 20,00,000.

Subsequently, the bag was returned to Khurshid Begum through the efforts of the Airport Manager’s office. The passenger deeply appreciated the airport management’s honesty and her lost bag’s swift, efficient return.
