Bruce Springsteen has cancelled four upcoming concerts due to vocal issues, including two in Madrid just weeks before his scheduled performance.
On his 2024 World Tour in Europe, the American singer began his series of performances on May 5 in Cardiff, Wales. Despite the enthusiastic reception from fans across Europe, Springsteen must pause his tour following medical advice.
The social media announcement stated Springsteen and The E Street Band are postponing their Prague and Milan concerts. Recent tests and medical consultations have led doctors to advise Springsteen not to perform for the next ten days. This medical directive follows the recent postponement of a concert in Marseille initially set for May 25.
Affected performances include those scheduled at Letany Airport in Prague on May 28 and at San Siro Stadium in Milan on June 1 and 3. The team has assured fans that new dates for these concerts will be announced soon.
Springsteen’s tour will resume on June 12 in Madrid at the Civitas Metropolitano. He is reportedly recovering well and, along with The E Street Band, is eager to continue the European leg of the tour. The Madrid concerts will be followed by two performances in Barcelona at the Olympic Stadium on June 20 and 22.
This series of cancellations is not Springsteen’s first health-related setback recently. He had to cancel all his 2023 concerts due to a gastric ulcer, significantly affecting his ability to perform in the United States and Canada. Springsteen noted that the ulcer severely impacted his singing ability.
