A Britney Spears DUI arrest report is drawing attention after the pop star reportedly deactivated her Instagram account around the same time TMZ said she was taken into custody in California.
According to a TMZ report published March 4, Spears was arrested by the California Highway Patrol the night before. The outlet said the incident occurred around 9:30 p.m., citing records from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office. Spears was later released, with court proceedings expected to follow.

Spears has not publicly addressed the reported arrest in the source material. However, the timing of her apparent Instagram deactivation has fueled speculation among fans and observers.
The development also comes alongside another legal matter reported the same day. Separate reports said Spears obtained a permanent restraining order against a Louisiana man accused of harassing her online for more than a decade.
Court filings reportedly claim the man, described as 51, had targeted Spears on social media since 2013. Spears’ security team also alleged he appeared at her home after posting “disturbing social media posts,” and the individual was previously arrested in 2025 for allegedly trespassing at her residence
The report also notes Spears has faced driving-related legal trouble before. In 2007, she faced misdemeanour charges after an alleged hit-and-run involving a parked vehicle in Los Angeles. Those charges were later dropped after she paid for the damage, and a jury acquitted her of a separate charge of driving without a California license.
