Britney Spears, 43, shared a heartfelt Instagram post. She discussed the impact of past abuse on her mental health, which she described as having caused “brain damage.”
In reference to her memoir, “The Woman in Me,” she spoke about experiencing four months of illegal confinement. This situation stripped her of privacy and freedom of movement. “I feel like my wings were taken away… I’ve overcome that time, and I’m blessed to be alive,” she expressed.
Spears responded to Federline’s upcoming memoir, “You Thought You Knew,” which accuses her of watching her sleeping children with a knife. It also accuses her of beating them and using cocaine while breastfeeding. Spears denied these claims, stating, “He’s looking for easy money.”
In a lengthy Instagram post, Spears opened up about the most painful chapter of her life — a period also mentioned in her 2023 memoir, The Woman in Me.
“I had a traumatic experience, as some people know, at the end of my book, where for four months I stopped having my private door and was illegally forced not to use my feet or my body to go anywhere,” she wrote.
She added,
“I feel like my wings were taken away, and I had brain damage a long time ago — 100%. Of course, I’ve gotten over that troublesome time in my life and I’m blessed to be alive.”
Fans flooded her post with messages of support, expressing sympathy for the star’s ongoing struggles and admiration for her resilience.
