On May 30, 2025, Binance Academy and Pakistan’s Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) announced a groundbreaking partnership to train 300 university educators and 80,000 students across 20 institutions in blockchain technology by 2026.
The Binance blockchain education program, part of Binance’s Global University Outreach Program (GUOP), aims to enhance Web3 expertise and support Pakistan’s digital transformation.
The initiative aims to offer educators comprehensive training on blockchain fundamentals, including BNB Chain, Solidity programming, and Web3 concepts. Certified educators will deliver a new curriculum, allowing students to earn official accreditation upon completion. This initiative aligns with Pakistan’s ambition to become a centre for blockchain training, ultimately preparing a workforce for the digital economy.

Bader Al Kalooti, Binance’s Head of Growth for the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, emphasised, “Empowering people with blockchain skills is essential as it reshapes global finance.” Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja stated, “This partnership positions Pakistan as a source of skilled blockchain talent, driving our digital transformation.” This underscores the focus on digital skills promoted by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT).
Since 2022, Binance Academy has trained over 3,000 students across 13 Pakistani universities. The Web3 education 2025 program scales these efforts nationally, leveraging the GUOP’s global reach. The program began in Kazakhstan in 2023 and targets one million students across 50 countries by 2026.
The Binance Academy Pakistan initiative embeds blockchain education into Pakistan’s academic framework, fostering innovation and global competitiveness. Preparing students for the digital economy strengthens Pakistan’s role in the tech landscape.
