Bill Gates has firmly denied allegations attributed to Jeffrey Epstein that resurfaced in the latest release of documents linked to U.S. federal investigations. He described the claims as “absurd” and “completely false.”
The allegations appear in private messages allegedly written by Epstein in 2013 and released as part of what are commonly referred to as the “Epstein files.” As a result, the renewed disclosures have revived scrutiny of Gates’ past association with the disgraced financier.
A spokesperson for Gates told the Daily Mail that the claims lack any factual basis. Instead, they reflect Epstein’s resentment after Gates cut ties with him.
“These claims are absolutely absurd and completely false. The only thing these documents demonstrate is Epstein’s frustration that he did not have an ongoing relationship with Gates and the lengths he would go to entrap and defame,” the spokesperson said.
Gates has previously acknowledged that meeting Epstein was a mistake and has said he regrets the association. He has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
Reports say the latest tranche includes screenshots of emails Epstein allegedly wrote to himself after Gates distanced himself. In those messages, Epstein appears to vent anger. Additionally, he makes salacious accusations about Gates’ personal life and marriage to Melinda French Gates.
Among the alleged claims are assertions that Gates sought help arranging antibiotics and asked for emails to be deleted in reference to a supposed sexually transmitted disease. The messages also suggest Epstein drafted correspondence posing as a former Gates adviser. In that correspondence, he outlined a fabricated scenario of marital conflict and improper requests.
Gates’ representatives deny all such assertions. They say the messages show an attempt to provoke and smear rather than evidence of misconduct.
The “Epstein files” comprise thousands of pages gathered over years by the United States Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation during multiple investigations. Epstein was convicted in Florida in 2008. Later, he was indicted again in New York in 2019, where he died in jail while awaiting trial.
The materials include flight logs, contact books, emails, court filings, photographs, and witness statements. Still, officials stress that the appearance of names or images in investigative records does not, by itself, establish criminal conduct or knowledge of Epstein’s crimes.

Only Ghislaine Maxwell has been convicted in connection with Epstein’s offenses. She is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for recruiting underage girls.
Gates and Melinda French Gates married in 1994 and divorced in 2021. They share three children. In past interviews, Melinda has said Gates’ association with Epstein was one of several factors that contributed to the end of their marriage. However, she has not commented on the latest document release.
