Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari urged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters to vote for PPP in the upcoming February 8 elections. He portrayed the election as a contest between PPP’s ‘arrow’ and PML-N’s ‘lion’, with PTI losing its ‘bat’ symbol.
In addressing a Lahore rally, Bilawal criticized the political approach of PTI leader Khan Sahib. He empathized with PTI workers, blaming PML-N for their difficulties. He appealed to PTI supporters to join him in ending revenge politics, reminding them of PPP’s history of releasing political prisoners.
Bilawal’s Promises and Critique of Opponents
Bilawal expressed his desire to transform Pakistan’s political landscape and unite various forces for the country’s benefit. In the upcoming elections, he confidently promised to outperform his political rivals, Shehbaz Sharif and Usman Buzdar.
Emphasizing Lahore’s importance, Bilawal recalled the election of Benazir Bhutto as prime minister. He unveiled PPP’s 10-point economic plan, promising to cut government expenditures and end elite subsidies. He encouraged PPP workers to promote the party’s manifesto, which includes ambitious projects like building low-cost housing, solar energy initiatives, and expanding social security programs.
With the elections approaching, the PPP, led by Bilawal, has planned 30 election rallies across the country, demonstrating the party’s commitment to its electoral promises and its effort to connect with voters nationwide.
