The Balochistan matric exams 2026 will begin on February 10, Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti announced on Sunday.
The chief minister shared the update on the social media platform X. He confirmed that the provincial government has finalised preparations for the upcoming examinations.
Bugti stressed that authorities will not show any leniency toward cheating. He said the government will enforce strict measures to curb exam malpractice.
According to the chief minister, the police, deputy commissioners, and the education department will work together. Their coordination aims to ensure transparency and discipline at examination centres.
Bugti said the provincial government remains committed to eliminating corruption at all levels. He added that the education sector remains a top priority for reforms.
The announcement comes at a time when Balochistan has faced serious security challenges. However, the government has assured students and parents that exams will proceed as scheduled.
Recently, several districts of Balochistan witnessed coordinated terrorist attacks. These attacks targeted areas including Quetta, Gwadar, Mastung, Noshki, Dalbandin, Kharan, and Pasni.
Security forces responded swiftly to the violence. Pakistan’s armed forces launched a three-day operation to neutralise the threat.
During the operation, personnel from the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, Police, and Pakistan Maritime Security Agency defended civilians and key locations. As a result, 22 security personnel embraced martyrdom while performing their duties.

With firm anti-cheating measures and heightened vigilance, the provincial government aims to set a new standard for examinations in Balochistan. The upcoming matric exams will test not only students but also the administration’s resolve.
