In the hate speech case, the Balochistan High Court (BHC) suspended the arrest warrants move against the PTI chairman.
A division bench of the BHC, featuring Chief Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Gul Hassan Tareen, intervened to provide respite for the PTI chairman. The court effectively suspended the non-bailable arrest warrant previously issued by the Judicial Magistrate-I.
Further delving into the details, the court also ruled to dismiss the ‘hate speech’ FIR lodged against the former PM. The initial FIR was filed at the Bijli Ghar police station.
The proactive stance of the PTI legal team played a significant role in this outcome. They had taken prompt action by challenging both the non-bailable arrest warrant and the FIR in the Balochistan High Court, leading to the court’s decision in the chairman’s favour.
