The Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BBISE) has postponed its 2025 intermediate (FA/FSc) examinations, originally set to begin on April 22, 2025, by three weeks due to unavoidable circumstances.
BBISE Chairman Muhammad Ishaq announced that exams have been postponed due to various challenges. Reports indicate that a teachers’ boycott may have influenced this decision, affecting exam preparations. The board has confirmed that a new exam schedule will be released soon.

The delay has caused concern among students, who worry it could jeopardise their medical college admissions for the upcoming session. “This postponement may disrupt our entire academic timeline,” one student shared on X, reflecting widespread frustration.
The postponement follows recent regional exam disruptions. In Karachi, a clash at the Matric Board office regarding changes to exam centres resulted in injuries and property damage, highlighting the administrative challenges within Pakistan’s education system.
Students are encouraged to stay informed through BBISE’s official channels for updated exam dates. The board is working diligently to ensure a smooth process once the exams are resumed.
