The Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), one of Balochistan’s prominent political parties, changed its election symbol to a “human eye”.
The strategic move comes from a comprehensive consultative meeting held by the party’s leadership, chaired by Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani; the meeting involved key party figures, including Parliamentary Leader Khalid Magsi, Minister of State Ehsan Riki, Senator Naseebullah Bazai, and Senior Minister Noor Muhammad Damar.
The participants discussed various party-related matters, specifically focusing on strategies for the upcoming elections. The decision to change the election symbol was a significant part of these discussions.
The BAP sent a delegation to meet officials from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) as a follow-up to this decision. The delegation formally requested the new symbol’s allocation, marking an official shift away from their previous symbol, a cow.
The BAP, initially launched before the July 2018 general election, has always aimed to bring the issues of Balochistan to the forefront. This change in symbol is part of the party’s ongoing effort to align its brand and election strategy with the objectives and values it represents.
