Baldia factory Arson: Key suspect Rizwan Quershi makes shocking revelations

Karachi: Rizwan Qureshi, a key accused in Baldia Town factory arson, has made shocking revelations during police interrogation.

According to sources, during the interrogation Javed Shakil told  that a meeting was held in an office of a political party to devise a plan to set the said factory on fire.

Shakeel was apprehended from the precincts of Preedy Police Station on March 22.

He also  that a chemical-filled blue drum was taken to the garments factory via high roof vehicle.

The suspect further disclosed that factory guard was locked up before setting the building on fire.

Automatic factory doors were locked after the fire broke out, nearly 300 workers trapped.

The sources also added that police have requested the Sindh government to set up a joint investigation team (JIT) to interrogate the suspect.

Police says six men were involved in executing the Baldia factory arson
