The daughter of late Benazir Bhutto, Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari referred to Khawaja’s Asif’s written apology an attempt to rather justify his abusive remarks against PTI MNA Dr Shireen Mazarai.

Bakhtawar in a Twitter message reacting to the letter said that in no way this can be deemed as a legitimate apology

“This does not even attempt to apologise but rather justify,”

In a letter to National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Khawaja Asif admitted that his remarks were improper and apologized to the chair and the house.

“It seems that I allowed some of my remarks and conduct to be determined by hacklers from across the aisle, which I regret. My behavior was improper for a political worker whose family has been blessed by Allah Almighty and the people of the constituency with the memberships of this august house for over five decades. My apologies to the chair and this august house,” the letter said.
