The reshuffle follows Odho’s appointment as the provincial police chief. A day earlier, Syed Murad Ali Shah met the newly appointed IGP and conveyed his best wishes on assuming office.
During the meeting, the chief minister directed police leadership to intensify efforts against street crime in Karachi, stressing that rising crime directly undermines public confidence and citizens’ sense of safety. He instructed the new IGP to prioritise maintaining law and order across Sindh.
CM Murad Ali Shah also emphasised that ongoing operations against criminal elements in the katcha areas must continue without interruption. He said sustained and decisive action is essential to restoring security and strengthening public trust in law enforcement.
