Islamabad: An Anti-Terrorism Court issued orders for the police to arrest PTI chief Imran Khan and PAT leader Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri on Monday.

According to the police representative at the court, the compliance of Dr Qadri and Imran Khan’s warrants did not occur. Inspector Yaseen Bhutta submitted the compliance report at the court.

The court had issued non-bailable arrest warrants for both party chiefs. The compliance report stated that Imran Khan’s security guard, who was stationed at his residence, was not aware of where the PTI chief was. The police report also stated that the arrest warrant for Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri was also not complied with.

Proceedings for the SSP Asmatullah Junejo assault case was postponed till July 25.

The court had issued non-bailable arrest warrants for both Imran Khan and Tahir-ul-Qadri. Supporters of PTI and PAT had assaulted SSP Asmatullah during the clash between protesters and security forces at D-Chowk in Islamabad, back in 2014.
