Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sunday agreed on Judicial Commission to probe general elections 2013.
After PTI’s Core Committee meetingVice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi addressing a press conference said that matters pertaining to formation of judicial commission came under discussion.
Briefing on the key points of the agreement, Qureshi said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is bound to dissolve assemblies if rigging is proved in last general elections.
He further added that judicial commission will have a right to take assistance from any institution including Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) and Military Intelligence (MI).
The PTI senior leader stated that all political parties must have confidence on chiefs of NADRA, FIA and Election Commission.
Qureshi said the PTI senior leadership also accepted the report of the party’s election tribunal and accepted the tribunal’s recommendation regarding dissolution of all elected bodies.
The PTI’s election commission will be reconstituted immediately under which necessary committees would perform their duties to finalize membership and election modalities, he said.
“It is also decided in the meeting that EC will recommend to the party’s chairman on the time period required for holding intra-party elections after assessing the administrative and constitutional requirements,” he added
