Pakistan’s renowned Tekken player, Arslan Ash, has won the Tekken World Tour Finals 2023 (TWT 23) hosted in New Orleans, United States, further strengthening his position in the competitive Tekken world.
Arslan began his top-eight campaign with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over LowHigh in the winners’ semi-final. This win propelled him into the winners’ final, where he faced a formidable opponent in Ulsan. In a nail-biting five-game match, Arslan emerged victorious with a close 3-2 score.
The final hurdle in Arslan’s journey was the championship match against CherryBerryMango (CBM). Exhibiting a masterclass in Tekken gameplay, Arslan dominated the final, winning it 3-1 and securing the coveted title.
Arslan’s Remarkable Achievements and Legacy
Arslan’s victory at TWT 23 is the latest addition to his impressive list of achievements. Earlier in the year, he won Evo Japan and Evo Vegas, completing a triumphant treble in 2023. Notably, in August, Arslan became a four-time EVO champion with his victory in Las Vegas.
His exceptional performance throughout the tournament, culminating in a decisive 3-0 win against Japan’s AO in the grand final, was a testament to his skill. Arslan is the only player to win the prestigious Tekken 7 event four times, with victories in Japan and Las Vegas in 2019 and repeating the feat in 2023.
Regarded by many as the greatest Tekken player of all time, Arslan’s accolades extend beyond these victories. He was named the best E-Player of 2019 by ESPN and has also claimed titles at CEO 2021 and 2022
