Army rescued 6500 people from flood-Affected areas: ISPR

According to ISPR, Pakistan Army continues its efforts for flood-affected areas including Rawalpindi,Chinot, Mandi bahaudin, Jhelum, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot and areas adjustment to these major cities.

ISPR further stated that Army troops have also been moved to Multan and DG khan, Liyyah, Sahiwal, Trimoo Headworks to meet in crisis situation.

Pakistan Army Helping

According to ISPR’s press release, on Sunday 2300 people were rescued by helicopters and boats from flood hit areas of,Qadirabad, Bajwat, Chaprar, Qadirabad, Khanki, Wazirabad, Chiniot, Kot momin Phalia, Hafizabaz, Khanki and Mandibahuddin areas.

Food packs were dropped by Army helicopters for people trapped in flood water at various places in Chiniot,Sialkot, Gujranwala and Mandibahauddin, ISPR said

Pakistan Army Food Distribution

Army troops since start of relief operation has  rescued more than 6500 stranded people to safer places. Besides ground troops, 300 boats and 5 Helicopters have been employed for rescue and relief activities.
