In a high profile meeting conducted today, presided over by the Prime Minister of the country, in the federal capital, the prospects of calling in the Army for help in giving security to Imran Khan’s long March on August 14, were discussed. The Armed Forces will be requested to take over the security in the light of Article 245 of the constitution. The need to bring in the Army was discussed mainly for two reasons, according to the sources. Firstly, Police force is only limited and if they are asked to look after the security of a rally comprising thousands of men and women from across the country, it can create law and order situation in other parts of the country.
Voters verification was also discussed in the infamous four constituencies during this meeting. Sources claimed that the high level meeting had the discussion on prospects of voters verification in the four constituencies on its agenda.
