A small trainer aircraft of the Pakistan Army crashed near Gujranwala on Tuesday, Two pilots, Major Azhar and trainee pilot Captain Ahmed embraced martyrdom.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the Mushshak aircraft was on routine flight when it came down near Gujranwala.
The statement also said that Instructor Pilot Major Azhar and his trainee Captain Ahmed were martyred in the crash.
Army troops cordoned off the area and shifted the bodies to a hospital. District Police Officer (DPO) Gujranwala said the aircraft purportedly crashed after developing a technical fault.
“Army aviation training aircraft mushaq crashed near Gujranwala while on routine training flight. Maj Azhar instructor Pilot and capt ahmed trainee pilot embraced shahadat,” said the statement
