A recent communication from the President’s House quoted Mr. Alvi stating, “It’s time to let go of the bitterness and embrace collaboration and forgiveness.”
Since his term ended on September 9, the president has abstained from political remarks, marking this his first statement post-term.
An insider close to President Alvi expressed concerns that PTI might be getting marginalized.
In a distinct discussion with Muhammad Ali Khan Durrani, President Alvi remarked, “Democracy loses its essence if citizens can’t elect their preferred leader.”
