Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez have finalized their divorce, as confirmed by a Los Angeles Superior Court ruling, officially ending their marriage of almost three years.
Ariana Grande initiated the divorce proceedings six months ago, seeking to part ways with the 28-year-old real estate broker.
According to documents filed in court, the couple had been living separately for over a year. They had a prenuptial agreement and shared no children, which facilitated a swift and straightforward legal process.
The October settlement required Grande to pay Gomez $1,250,000 without future alimony obligations. Additionally, she agreed to divide the proceeds from the sale of their Los Angeles property and cover up to $25,000 of his legal expenses.
Citing irreconcilable differences, Grande’s divorce petition is typical of many in California.
The pair started their relationship in January 2020 and spent the quarantine period together during the pandemic. They publicly appeared in Justin Bieber’s charity single “Stuck With U” video in May 2020 and announced their engagement in December of the same year.
Their marriage, solemnized in a private ceremony at Grande’s Montecito home on May 15, 2021, now concludes this chapter of their lives.
Originally from Florida, Grande recently released her seventh album, “Eternal Sunshine,” on March 8. She is also set to portray Glinda in the upcoming two-part film adaptation of “Wicked,” alongside Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, with a November release date.
