Quetta: Three more children died Friday due to substandard vaccination of measles in Qila Saifullah district of Balochistan, bringing the death toll to six in two days.
Several children were reported to be in critical condition while three died after they were injected vaccines for protection from measles on Thursday. The children were shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta for treatment.
Abdul Qadir, the medical officer of children ward in Civil Hospital, said the vaccination was not substandard.
Doctors said several affected children were still under treatment in Quetta hospital.
