Anti-loadshedding protests continue in Sindh, Punjab

Karachi: As devastating wave of unusually hot weather killed over 150 people in Karachi during last couple of days, the masses irked by prolonged power outages continued their protests in different cities.

Violent protests were reported in Shahman, Azizabad, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Abul Hassan Isfahani Road, Tipu Sultan Road, Malir and other areas where people took to streets against loadshedding.

Reports said the infuriated protestors also clashes with police, pelting their vehicles with stones and burning tyres on roads in several areas.

The protests were also reported in different cities, including Hyderabad, Multan, Khairpur and Thatta.

The masses were demanding of the federal government to take notice of the load-shedding.
