The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has conducted multiple operations across the country, seizing drugs valued at over Rs10 million near educational institutions and other areas.
An ANF spokesperson reported that officers confiscated 81.806 kilograms of drugs during 13 operations, resulting in the arrest of 12 suspects.
Specific recoveries included 1.8 kg of hashish near Karachi’s Empress Market, 490 grams of hashish near Fateh Chowk in Hyderabad, and 46 grams of heroin from a courier parcel on RCD Road, Hub, destined for Karachi.
Further, authorities seized four kg of hashish near a Hyderabad university and 230 grams near Mansehra’s Bidera Chowk.
At Multan Airport, a passenger en route to Bahrain was caught with 2.4 kg of methamphetamine (ice). In Gujranwala, 16.6 kg of hashish and 1.44 kg of ice were seized from various locations.
In Quetta near Sibi Road, authorities recovered 1.5 kg of heroin and 500 grams of ice, while 25 kg of hashish was confiscated in Panjgur. Near Islamabad’s Chungi No. 26, 1.2 kg of opium and 12 kg of hashish were seized.
Previously, the ANF intensified its efforts in Balochistan, arresting three suspects and seizing 68 kilograms of drugs valued at Rs4,700,000.
One operation on Quetta’s Sariab Road led to the recovery of 20 kilograms of cannabis from three individuals, as reported by Express News.
Another operation in Gwadar’s coastal area found 48 kilograms of cannabis concealed in bushes.
