The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) thwarted an attempt to smuggle a substantial quantity of cocaine into Pakistan at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport.
Officials arrested a Brazilian woman, who had arrived from Brazil, for attempting to smuggle 1.396 kilograms of cocaine hidden in her undergarments. The suspect was searched after she raised suspicions during passenger clearance, leading to the discovery of the drugs concealed in a plastic pouch.

The seized cocaine has an estimated value of over Rs13.9 million. Authorities have registered a case against the woman under the Narcotics Control Act and are conducting further investigations.
ANF officials highlighted the evolving tactics of drug trafficking networks but affirmed their dedication to curbing such activities. In a recent string of anti-smuggling operations, the ANF seized drugs valued at over Rs4.2 million across various locations in the country.
ANF’s rigorous efforts to dismantle drug smuggling operations, particularly within educational institutions and cities nationwide, are ongoing. These efforts recently resulted in the arrest of 13 suspects and the seizure of 37 kilograms of drugs.
