Mindy, an American flight attendant from Chicago, arrived in Pakistan to marry Sajid Zeb Khan from Upper Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, after meeting online via Facebook. Their cross-cultural love story has captured the attention of many, culminating in a planned wedding on July 1.

Mindy and Sajid connected on Facebook two years ago, and their relationship blossomed, culminating in her proposal to him. Sajid, a resident of Usheri Dara, Upper Dir, accepted and informed both families. He welcomed Mindy at Islamabad International Airport, and they travelled to his hometown, where locals warmly received her. Speaking to the media, Sajid shared plans for their nikah, to be solemnised on July 1, following Islamic principles and local customs, noting that no security was needed.
