Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar met Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain in MQM’s London secretariat and appreciated his role in the current political crisis.
MQM chief on the other hand expressed his desire for a technocratic government in the country letting people like the Governor Punjab rule Pakistan for two years adding that the proposed government should hold everyone accountable without discrimination between the poor or the rich.
About the sit-ins in Islamabad, Altaf Hussain was of the view that a respectful way must be carved out to bring an end political chaos adding that MQM is always ready to play its role in resolving the issue.
Chaudhry Sarwar said that none wants to derail democracy and the protesters should show flexibility in larger national interest.
Punjab Governor maintained that at a time when the country’s security forces are busy in operation against terrorists in North Waziristan, all political parties should forget differences to help Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and flood affectees.
