British Foreign and Common Wealth Office on Thursday granted Consular access to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain.
Acting High Commissioner of Pakistan Imran Mirza visited Altaf Hussain at London’s Wellington Hospital.
According to Imran Mirza, he held a meeting with Altaf Hussain for 20 minutes. According to him Altaf Hussain was in high morale.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistani High Commission in London, on the direction of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, wrote a letter to British Foreign and Commonwealth Office seeking access to Hussain.
The foreign office added that all possible legal assistance would be provided to Altaf Hussain.
MQM chief Altaf Hussain was arrested two days back in London on the charges of money-laundering.
