Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain announced to dissolve the party instantaneously.

Hussain addressing the party’s Coordination Committee expressed deep regret over the prevalent situation and deplored the extrajudicial killings of the party workers.

Following the announcement regarding the disolving of the party, Hussain cut off the address and hanged up the phone.

A heavy contingent of paramilitary force reached at headquarters of MQM in Thursday’s wee hours. Later on, all departments of Khurshid Begam Memorial Hall have been closed forthwith.

The MQM workers in large number and office-bearers of all departments of the party gathered in front of Altaf Hussain’s residence—commonly known as Nine Zero.

The sources said all organizational departments of Nine Zero that remain open round the clock, have been closed abruptly tonight, without assigning any reason.

Earlier, MQM Chief  had directed party’s Rabitta Committee (Coordination Committee) to evacuate International Secretariat London and Karachi offices, sources said.

According to the sources, Altaf Hussain made this decision owing to lack of coordination between London and Karachi offices.

MQM London secretariat has refused to confirm or refute the report.

This is a developing story…..
