Actor Alizeh Shah has issued what she described as a “final warning” to Yasir Nawaz, asking him to stop mentioning her name on public platforms.
In an Instagram story, Alizeh said it has been five years since she last worked with Yasir, yet he continues to reference her during television appearances. She accused him of repeatedly defaming her and said she has documented evidence of every instance.
Her reaction came after a recent episode of Hasna Mana Hai on Geo Entertainment, in which Yasir and his brother, Danish Nawaz, appeared as guests. During a light-hearted game segment, Alizeh’s photo appeared alongside journalist Waseem Badami. Danish jokingly suggested Yasir would choose Alizeh as a sibling. Yasir responded with a remark that Alizeh later described as inappropriate.
In her statement, Alizeh said that past professional differences did not give Yasir the right to repeatedly “drag” her name. She added that he has alternated between offering apologies and describing their past collaboration as unpleasant.
Calling it her last warning, Alizeh said she would file a defamation lawsuit if Yasir mentions her again on any platform. She also warned that continued remarks would compel her to disclose details about why their professional relationship failed.
The dispute stems from comments Yasir made about Alizeh’s alleged behaviour during the filming of Mera Dil Mera Dushman (2020). At the time, he said he struggled during the shoot. His wife, television host Nida Yasir, also spoke about the challenges of working with her, stressing the importance of separating personal life from professional roles.
Yasir later expressed regret over publicly naming Alizeh. His remarks had sparked intense debate online, dividing opinion within the industry. While some supported him, others, including Feroze Khan and Momina Mustehsan, publicly defended Alizeh.
