Ali Amin Gandapur, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has issued a strong statement regarding Imran Khan’s incarceration. He declares that if Khan is not released legally within the next one to two weeks, they will take measures to ensure his release.

Gandapur expressed his determination to lead this effort personally, even stating his willingness to “take the first bullet” and vowing not to retreat. He announced that the next Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally would take place in Lahore, directly challenging Maryam Nawaz by stating their intent to proceed with or without official permission.

During a PTI gathering in Islamabad, Gandapur harshly criticized Khawaja Asif, asserting that not even Asif’s father could subject Imran Khan to a military trial. He also questioned General Faiz, insinuating that his political motives influenced his appointment and challenged his legitimacy.

Gandapur also hinted at revealing details about past hostilities and forced confessions at the upcoming rally, indicating a history of violence before May 9. He warned of retaliation if they face attacks, emphasizing the significance of the forthcoming Lahore rally and boldly comparing it to historical events involving Bangladesh.

Highlighting the support from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gandapur praised the local populace for defending their political mandate and reaffirmed their stronghold in the region. He reiterated the party’s commitment to reclaiming “looted billions” and dismissed any possibilities of negotiation or reconciliation, often referred to as NRO.

Expressing solidarity with Imran Khan, he stressed their united stand for justice. He concluded by referencing an incident involving Azam Swati, which he used to underscore the potential consequences of challenging their movement.
