Al-Hilal released a video that playfully targeted Cristiano Ronaldo, the renowned Portuguese footballer now with Al-Nassr, by incorporating WWE entrance music.
The footage, shared on Facebook, depicted an incident where Ronaldo seemingly elbowed an opposing player from Al-Hilal during a match. Additionally, the video highlighted a previous moment in which Ronaldo aggressively pursued the ball, resulting in a physical altercation with an opposing team member, further dramatized by including wrestler John Cena’s theme music.
The celebrated athlete, aged 39, was subsequently shown a red card for his actions, which included elbowing and stamping Al-Hilal’s Ali Al-Bulaihi, leading to his dismissal from the game.
The contentious play occurred when an Al-Hilal player attempted to prevent Ronaldo from retrieving the ball for a quick throw-in, culminating in a heated confrontation while play was halted.
The incident occurred during the Saudi Super Cup semifinal in Abu Dhabi, where Al Nassr lost 2-1 to Al-Hilal. When Ronaldo received his red card, Al-Nassr was trailing 2-0, though they managed to score a late goal.
