Al Hilal reportedly plans to replace Neymar Jr., with Cristiano Ronaldo from Al Nassr emerging as the top candidate.
Since joining Al Hilal from PSG, Neymar has struggled with injuries, including a significant ACL issue. Despite returning to play, he suffered a muscle injury in his second game back, prompting the club, which invested €90 million in 2023, to consider terminating his contract as early as January.
With Neymar sidelined, Al Hilal is gearing up to make a substantial offer to Cristiano Ronaldo in the upcoming transfer window. Although Ronaldo has not clinched a title with Al Nassr, his contentment at the club might complicate his transfer.
Despite being a prolific scorer, Ronaldo has not won any major trophies with Al Nassr, only securing the Arab Club Champions Cup, which lacks official recognition from the AFC or FIFA.
Neymar’s recent return was short-lived; he exited a match against Esteghlal with a hamstring tear. Al Hilal announced via X (formerly Twitter) that Neymar would need four to six weeks for recovery and rehabilitation.
